Archives & Research Collections + Historical Strand Buildings Tour In-Person
King’s College London Archives - including the Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives - hold a unique and internationally significant range of archival and printed sources, ensuring their preservation and providing access to King's students, academics and other colleagues, the global research community and the general public.
The Archives’ rich and extensive collections are continually growing and particular subject strengths include:
- History of King's College London and its merged institutions
- Military and defence studies
- Travel and exploration
- Empire and Commonwealth
- History of medicine and nursing
- History of modern Greece
- English Literature (20th Century)
- History of science
Tour to last around 90 minutes comprising:
- 30 minutes historical walking tour of Strand buildings (led by Geoff Browell)
- 60 minutes show-and-tell in the Archives Reading Room (led by Kate O’Brien and/or other members of A&RC team)
Meeting point is the Archives Reading Room - S3.02 Strand Building
