Welcome to the Maughan? User experience research about our entrance area In-Person
We’d like to understand your expectations and feelings around the Maughan Library entrance space. How would you like this space to look ideally, to set you up for your perfect library visit? How does the current entrance space affect your experience of the library?
This is a 1-1 session at the Maughan Library with one of our user experience researchers, lasting 45 minutes. We will use one of the UX methodologies below in your session, followed by a semi-structured interview:
- Cognitive Mapping (drawing, but not for beauty or accuracy)
- Generative play (involving Lego…)
- Photo elicitation (drawing out thoughts and associations through looking at photographs)
You’ll receive £15 King’s Food vouchers in return for your time and insight.
We particularly would like to include students from backgrounds underrepresented in academia, such as First Generation or disabled students. But everyone is welcome! If we are over-subscribed, preference will be given to students who are not already involved in another Library Champions project.
On the day, we'll meet you in the lift lobby to your left as you enter the Maughan. Please let us know if you have any access requirements, and contact ML-LC-ServiceDevelopment-Managers@kcl.ac.uk with any questions or comments.
Thank you in advance for helping us improve King's library services and spaces!
